Wow, what a year, what an event. The fifth anniversary issue couldn't come any better. Bright sunshine and biiiig smiles during the full event, from the time trial on Friday until the Finisher Raclette Party on Sunday ;-)

Toughest event ever

Winter by end of August? Well, it rarely happens ... and it happened the weekend of BERGKÖNIG 2020. While the weather during Time Trial on Friday and Sprint / Cocktail on Saturday was almost fine, we have had pouring rain, between 2 and 4 degrees and even snow on the higher roads on Sunday ... well, BERGKÖNIG particiapnts are hard in taking and there has been fun and good food, great beere and fantastic companions anyway ;-)

BERGKÖNIG becomes 3 days event

New time trial to Alp Gumm on friday was a great success with about 80 participants. While great weather friday and saturday, sunday was very difficult with loads of rain and even some snow on the highest passes.

Pictures 2018

BERGKÖNIG number 2 has attracted 350 participants. Fantastic weather like the year before, many new ideas like the Concours d'Elegance at the Grand Hotel. BERGKÖNIG quickly starts to become a Classic.

The very first BERGKÖNIG. 200 participants from all over, fantastic weather and familiar atmosphere. A great start for a very unique event.

Von wegen "schwaches Geschlecht": Cristina Cavalli absolvierte die grosse Runde mit Bravour ... und Style!

Stilgerecht bis aufs letzte Detail: Thomas Schott mit seinem absolut originalen Vuillemin / Super Champion aus den 30er Jahren im Gespräch mit Reto Lüthi, Allegro ebenfalls aus den 30ern.

Weltmeister unter sich: Urs Freuler und Gilbert Glaus vor dem Start zum BERGKÖNIG. Ebenfalls in erster Reihe Noldi Gerber und Frau Priska, Gründer der legendären Velomarke Gerber, die unzählige Erfolge eingefahren hat.

Zeit zum Geniessen: die Schwestern Brand bereicherten den Verpflegungsposten Lauenensee mit Alphorneinlagen.

Schotter, Schlaglöcher, Kuhfladen ... und traumhafte Panoramen auf den Strecken.

Rasender Reporter: Ueli Anken schleppte seine Olivetti über die ganzen 103 km!

Was für ein Verpflegungsposten: René Ryser zeigt die famose Käsegrotte der Molkerei Gstaad.

Nicolas Lutz, Enkel des Allegro-Gründers Arnold Grandjean, mit seiner Frau Jaquie auf einem Tandem von ... Allegro natürlich.
